President Calderón signs laws on human trafficking and femicide

On 13 June 2012, President Felipe Calderón signed decrees targeting crimes related to human trafficking and femicide. The new laws provide compensation for victims, incorporating femicide into the Federal Criminal Code and increasing the penalty for sexual abuse and sex trafficking of minors to 40 years in prison.
